Umnum

Tobacco has been the mediator between gods and humans for thousands of years. Originally, smoking was an exclusive privilege of the shaman, known by the name of Sukia, from Cabo Camarón, in Honduras, to Río Grande, in Nicaragua. These master healers used tobacco leaves to practice medicine and initiation rites among the indigenous peoples of much of the American continent. In their rituals, inhaling or chewing tobacco communicated them with the deities in such a way that they applied the tobacco leaves with art to cure the diseases of their time.

The Umnum brand, as part of the dream of its creators, was born to pay tribute to all the original peoples of those lands who have used tobacco as an axis of fraternal union between all the members of their community, for whom respecting nature and sharing its resources are inalienable basic principles. For this reason, the Umnum ring incorporates the image of the spirit with which the Sukias fraternized, under the black background that represents the world of dreams.

Made entirely by hand, the brand offers cigars of great intensity and flavors and aromas that take us back to all these traditions. It is a handmade using Seco and Viso leaves from Jalapa and Ometepe for the filler, Indonesian leaves for the binder and Nicaraguan Sungrown for the wrapper. This innovative blend makes Umnum Nicaragua an authentic delight, with its sweet flavor that transports us to the beautifulvolcanic lands of Nicaragua. To smoke Umnum is to undertake a journey in time and space to share the best smokes with the first tobacco smokers on Earth.
